We are looking for an ‘on-the-way-up’, client facing, engaging, passionate BIM technician who has been involved in validating BIM models derived from point cloud data, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards. This role requires technical expertise, collaboration, and a passion for BIM innovation.
As a key member of the Digital team within the Digital Construction division, the BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of digital information services across built asset and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that BIM outputs are accurate, compliant and aligned with client requirements, while contributing to the development of digital standards, workflows and capabilities across the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
BIM Delivery & Technical Leadership
Lead BIM projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality 3D models that meet specifications, company standards and project deadlines.
Validate and verify graphical and non-graphical model data to ensure consistency and compliance with QA protocols.
Provide technical support to project teams, offering guidance on BIM and Information Management challenges.
Review and approve information/models for sharing, acceptance and coordination.
Ensure all BIM projects maintain high levels of service, meeting client expectations for quality, timeliness and safety.
Leadership & Development
Support supply chain and outsourcing activities, ensuring alignment with company standards and workflows.
Contribute to project team and supply chain training on BIM processes and tools.
Skills & Experience
Experience within a survey company and the design, construction, or AEC industry.
Strong understanding of BIM standards, processes, and methodologies.
Proven experience in Scan to BIM, authoring CAD models from point cloud data, and BIM modelling workflows.
Proficient in BIM software platforms, interoperability workflows, clash detection, and model coordination.
Familiar with Information Management principles and Common Data Environments (CDEs).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident engaging with clients and colleagues.
Committed to continuous learning and developing BIM expertise.
Produce EIRs, BEPs, LOIN definitions, MPDTs, MIDPs, and TIDPs.
Develop BIM modelling standards and manage information exchange and archiving processes.
Establish and oversee QA processes to ensure compliance with project standards.
Review and approve models and information for coordination and issue.
Set up and administer project CDEs.
Define and manage information workflows and exchange protocols.
Provide training and support to project teams and supply chain partners.
Define hardware/software requirements and drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
