BIM Technician - London

We are looking for an ‘on-the-way-up’, client facing, engaging, passionate BIM technician who has been involved in validating BIM models derived from point cloud data, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards. This role requires technical expertise, collaboration, and a passion for BIM innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Model Authoring & Quality Assurance
Produce high-quality BIM-ready models from point cloud data captured by in-house survey teams.
Validate and verify graphical and non-graphical model data to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
Apply effective workflows, techniques, and software in collaboration with Project Managers, Surveyors, and fellow technicians.
Ensure all BIM deliverables meet or exceed client expectations in quality, timeliness, and health & safety.
Technical Support & Expertise
Provide technical guidance to project teams on model authoring standards, software use, and best practices.
Support the development and refinement of BIM processes, templates, and workflows.
Maintain a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the BIM environment.
Undertake reasonable tasks as required to support project delivery and team objectives.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience with strong proficiency in Revit and a clear understanding of BIM standards.
Experience working with point cloud data within the construction or survey industry.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Clash Detection, Rule Set Making, Dynamo, and CDE interfaces.
Experience with additional BIM software such as ArchiCAD, Tekla, or MicroStation.
Understanding of geospatial data acquisition, processing, and visualisation.
Experience with LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS platforms, and survey-grade data management.
Strong data governance, quality assurance, and compliance management skills.
Architectural or engineering-related qualification (desirable but not essential).
Hands-on experience in BIM model creation, coordination, and validation.
Ability to integrate geospatial data into BIM environments.
